Lyrics

Some people live reckless lives
Always tempting fate, throwing rocks at hives
They know that the bee will sting
But it doesn’t change a thing
I just cannot comprehend
Why they act this way, so I asked a friend
Doesn’t anybody plan ahead?
And this is what he said

“Someday we’ll fall into the sun
Everyone
No matter how much we may pray
And what do we care anyhow?
Here and now
Tomorrow is just in the way”

You can’t try to justify
Sitting on your ass, ’cause it’s do or die
I knew that there had to be
Someone out there who could see
So I shouted across the land
That we can’t let time slip away like sand
Do we fix what we’ve destroyed
Or continue to avoid?
(And I heard…)

“Someday we’ll fall into the sun
Everyone
No matter how much we may pray
And what do we care anyhow?
Here and now
Tomorrow is just in the way”

The world only aims to please
But with friends like us, who needs enemies?
We conquer the land and sky
But does anyone ask why?
We’re blind to the consequence
Of imperfect lives in the present tense
When pieces outweigh the sum
Then tomorrow might not come

One day we’ll fall into the sun
Everyone
We hide, but we can’t run away
So killing time is not allowed
Here and now
‘Cause all that we have is today

And when we fall into the sun
Come undone
When no one will come out alive
I only hope that we can say
Everyday
We did what we could to survive
