Lyrics & Book Excerpt

LARRY:
Good to hear you, so what’s cooking at
Theatre Wok, Billy Boy?
BILL:
Painful as it is for me to watch
They think “Round”‘s the real McCoy
Root’s doing all the lighting with torches
LARRY:
God, I can’t wait for opening night
Keep up the good work, talk to you next week
BILL:
Don’t go so fast, he asked for a rewrite
LARRY:
What’s he want?
BILL:
He liked “Opposable Thumbs”
So much he wanted more
LARRY:
Hope he’s in no rush, Art and I are
Working on another score
When does he want it?
BILL:
This coming Monday
LARRY:
See how much time that you can buy
Play prima donna, hold him ’til Thursday
BILL:
But how do I pick up the rewrite?
LARRY:
Goodbye!
